Few bugs here and there as one would expect- some due to software problems, some due to incompatible custom code.
The Discussions bell icon didn't seem to work right - when I clicked the link to read your message I instead got this URL saying "Internal Server Error".
MediaWiki:Recentchangestext displays perfectly fine on the actual page, but does not on Recentchanges itself, with such instances as "506 {{PLURAL:506|link|links}}".
Special:WantedPages is including Help pages, which are normally ignored and just embedded from Community.
Since the "Threads" are now defunct, we've got hundreds of redlinks for them on the WantedPages, too. Would be good to get a means of removing them all quickly or I'll have to resort to editing out the redlinks from user talks.
On the Battlestar Galactica Wiki last week I also encountered problems where I couldn't upload a YouTube video via Videos - it believed it to be a tinyurl and wouldn't accept it - and on the Source editor I had problems where text would be added several lines below where my cursor was. I so far have not encountered those problems here so it may have since been fixed.
Other all it's a pretty fine software change on my end with a few bugs that should be easily correctible (some of which are probably already Bug Reported, but worth pointing out). I was expecting far worse given the reviews on Community claiming entire wikis were literally unworkable.
There were some server issues yesterday, but I thought they had all been worked out. Apparently there are still some gremlins chewing on the wires.
I have reported this bug, thank you.
I think there is a ticket for this, but I'm waiting for confirmation.
I'll ask about this one also.
Link shorteners are mostly not allowed on Fandom because they pose a security risk and they are often non-permanent. I always recommend using the full URL. They may relax this restriction for YouTube, but I haven't heard of anything yet. The cursor being offset from the actual text entry point was a bug with the syntax highlighting feature and I believe has been fixed now.
It looks like the Threads got removed from WantedPages, but there are a couple of Help pages still showing at the bottom of the list. If you want to get rid of those, you can make a redirect page to [[w:Help:whatever]], but it hardly seems worth it.
What do you think?
