Akira Asaka (浅香晶 asaka akira?) (b.1957) is a Japanese science fiction writer.

Career[]

Following her graduation from Waseda University, Asaka made her name initially as a novelist, writing six short stories which were published in S-F Magazine between 1989 and 1991, and another eight light novels between 1989 and 1998.

Starting from 1993, Asaka ventured into TV writing, where she worked on Toei-produced Metal Heroes series, Tokusou Robo Janperson. This was followed by BLUE SWAT, Juukou B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto. Along with several other Metal Heroes veterans, Asaka joined the newly established Flagship writing company in 1998, which was to write stories for Capcom and Nintendo video games in a professional tokusatsu style. Among Saka's contributions to Flagship was Resident Evil CODE:Veronica.[1]
