Albert Wesker is a main character in Resident Evil: The Book.[1]

Biography[]

Albert Wesker was the succeeding captain of the S.T.A.R.S. unit of the Raccoon Police Department, after the original leader, Brian Iron, was promoted to police chief in 1996. Although he exuded a cool, strong leadership role, he also showed signs of being a control freak as Jill Valentine once noted.

When the murders in the Arklay Mountains were being investigated for six months, Wesker mentioned that he couldn't lead his S.T.A.R.S. unit to apprehend or investigate without Chief Iron's orders, to the consternation of the rest of the S.T.A.R.S. Team. Chris eventually explained what he had witnessed regarding a couple who was murdered by a dog like creature to Wesker, although he left some details out of his report.

Eventually, Wesker ended up loudly reprimanded by Chief Iron, due to the latter's irritation at Chris's attitude towards him during the investigation as well as a complaint filed by the Umbrella Human Resources department regarding Chris snooping on them, which resulted in Wesker attempting to call Chris in for a talk, as well as sending Jill over to get him over.

Some time later, Wesker, looking over the crime scene locations around the Arklay Mountains, decided to send Bravo Team over to investigate where the killers most likely were holding up: An old mansion. However, they ended up losing contact with Bravo Team. Chris and Jill then explained to Wesker who they discovered were the killers: undead, and explained everything to him and the rest of the S.T.A.R.S. team. Wesker believed them, and decided to prep a chopper to find Bravo Team at the mansion.
