The Apple Inn was a hotel in Raccoon City.
History
During the outbreak caused by the t-Virus in 1998, the Apple Inn was a refuge for a number of survivors.[citation needed] The boiler in the basement exploded due to a fire, killing two fire fighters and trapping the remaining survivors inside.[citation needed] Although several survivors escaped, they encountered the Suspended just before exiting.[citation needed]
In the final hours before the annihilation of Raccoon City by missile strike, an Umbrella scientist named Linda temporarily took refuge in the Inn.[citation needed]
Dario Rosso was on the hotel's Guest List, but it is suggested that he left to the warehouse with his daughter possibly due to the fire, or due to the low defenses of the Inn.[citation needed]
On October 1, 1998, Ada Wong managed to reach the hotel in order to meet with her contact. Unfortunately, he had committed suicide shortly before she arrived.[citation needed]
Further Notes
- In Outbreak, the front door is shown to be smashed, suggesting that this takes place after Hellfire. However, this makes it hard to explain the sudden disappearance and reappearance of other firefighters before and after the J's Bar survivors' passing through the area, as well as how the fire started in the first place. Were the door to be disregarded as an oversight, Hellfire would fit in just after the J's Bar survivors left the area, ending at the same time as Outbreak, when the Raccoon Police Department takes control of the area.
