This page is for information and options for Resident Evil Survivor 2 CODE:Veronica's Arcade Mode.

Structure[]

Resident Evil Survivor 2 CODE:Veronica has multiple modes, Arcade Mode one of the modes has 5 stages where the player goes through them by selecting any of the 2 playable characters: Claire or Steve. There's no manual saving, except for when the player dies or completes the mode.

Any progress or unlockables made through any mode are saved automatically within a "global" save and the bonuses will be available when you start the appropriate mode.

Arcade version[]

The arcade version didn't have any of the additional content added in the PlayStation 2 version. It only had the Arcade Mode without anything else. The player can find the hidden messages and use them in the game's official website[1] but are only available in Japanese language.[2] In the PS2 version, they unlocked the reports in the Secret Mode which was included in-game.

If the player finishes the game by playing alone and without using the continue option, they will get a password which can be used in a website link to enter their name in the rankings.[3][4]

Saving[]

The game features manual saving with the use of typewriters with the Ink Ribbons found throughtout the game, so the player has a limited number of saves like the previous games, and there are checkpoints at some points. When saving, the screen will display which character you're using, how many times the game was saved in that file, and the location you're saving from.

There are 15 slots within the save menu.

Game over[]

The game over screen is triggered by either losing all continue chances or failing to escape when there's a timer.

When the 'Continue?' text is on-screen after losing all health, the player can continue if they continue chances left (which are displayed as bullets) which will fully recover their health, there are 3 chances in total. If the player runs out of their chances or don't choose to continue and the timer of 20 seconds runs out, then the player will be shown a "Game Over" and letting them save their game before returning to the title screen.

Loading screens[]

The loading screens have a background picture and a "Now Loading..." at the bottom right corner of the screen. If it's in the Arcade Mode, then it'll additionally show the playable character on the left side of the screen.

Endings[]

Resident Evil CODE:Veronica only has one ending, but there's an additional boss fight with Nemesis if the player collects all the Jewels found in the game.

Results[]

The result screen at the end of each stage shows the chosen playable character in the background, the name of the stage at the top, followed by displaying stats such as the time spent among other things, and at the bottom the total score along with the ranking.
