The preparation room is an area of the Arklay Laboratory.
Description[]
An emergency sign is placed on the right side of the wall from the Laboratory entrance. A fire extinguisher also can be located below it.

In the original version, only an Item Box can be found here. During the 1st Class Emergency, Chris will meet up Jill from here. As Jill, Barry will be present instead.
In 2002 remake, player can find an Ink ribbon lying on the floor. The typewriter is now featured in the remake enabling player to save their game from here, unlike the original 1996 Resident Evil.
