BIO HAZARD 2 VOL.12 (Chinese: 生化危機2 VOL.12; Pinyin: Shēnghuà wéijī 2 VOL.12) is the twelfth volume of a sixty-part manhua series published by the Hong Konger King's Foundation, and officially-licensed by Capcom.[1] It was published on Saturday 25 April 1998.

The two Mechs continue their fight with William, who is at one point too agile for them to see. The Archer Mech releases a powerful punch, with William simply leaping straight over the B.O.W. Landing behind the B.O.W., it wraps his mutated arm around it, damaging its skull. The Tank Mech tries to punch, also. William evades this punch, too, which is so powerful that the B.O.W. falls to the ground as a result. William lands on the B.O.W., fist extended. With some effort, it succeeds in ripping the Tank's head off. Injured from William's attack, the Attack Soldier looks on.

The mutation is complete.

The Mech has a flashback to its human life. It had previously served as a soldier and radio operator fighting in ColombiaWP (Chinese: 哥倫比亞; Pinyin: Gēlúnbǐyǎ), shot in the head by enemy forces alongside his comrade. In the real world, the Mech is punched in the head. The story of its human life continues, further, showing the funeral attended by a priest; a number of soldiers, and people close to him. His name is revealed to be "Mista" (Chinese: 米斯達; Pinyin: Mǐ sī dá).

The Mech begins to talk aloud as it sets off a mutational process. Its reasoning is explained as self-disgust; how it became "just another pawn" in Umbrella's plans.[excerpt 1] Its transformation finished, it sets off, abandoning William completely.

Back outside the gondola, Ada becomes suspicious that Charlie has deciphered her identity as an Umbrella Agent. She prepares to take out her handgun, but Ya Lan takes it out of her hands as Charlie aims his right against her head. He puts his hands on her left ear, taking out an earpiece to be used for surveillance. Leon grabs her hand to keep her with the group, but she sets off a device on her belt which releases a cloud of smoke, allowing her to escape. She abducts Sherry in the process. The larger member of the Special Forces Unit readies his machine gun, but Leon orders him not to.

In the White House, Chris discusses the situation with President Clinton. He presents to the President a bag which, when opened, reveals the head of a B.O.W., which is also revealed to continue living despite the decapitation. The meeting is revealed to have been a success, as the United States continues with its planned attack on the Umbrella headquarters, now featuring ground combat between Umbrella's security guards and the police force. A black helicopter flies over head, piloted by Chris.

"Helicopters fly slowly near the top floor of the headquarters building! UMBRELLA Group's top leaders are by the window!"
— Epilogue[excerpt 2]
