BIO HAZARD 2 VOL.3 (Chinese: 生化危機2 VOL.3; Pinyin: Shēnghuà wéijī 2 VOL.3) is the third volume of a sixty-part manhua series published by the Hong Konger King's Foundation, and officially-licensed by Capcom.

'Previously' summary (前文提要)

In this re-cap, we see Ada Wong prepare to leave Leon and Claire while they confront a zombie.

This is a single-page addition to the story, simply showing Ada leave Leon and Claire after introducing her name.

It also comes with a brief profile entry on her.

Intervention (介入)

In this story, Leon and Claire walk out into the main hall to follow Ada. Hearing a helicopter, the two walk outside to investigate. A large helicopter, carrying six large canisters flies over the Raccoon City Police Department. A mysterious, masked Umbrella officer gives the clear to release canister "T 00". It is released, and a Archer Mech drops out, crashing into the RPD.

Archer Mechs (機甲攻兵)

The Mech is given orders by its programming to have full discretion in killing.[excerpt 1] Claire and Leon return inside and head upstairs to investigate.

They find that the corridor upstairs is full of rubble - since the Mech has gone, they do not know what caused it. Claire notices a sign alerting them to the S.T.A.R.S. office, and they enter. While the room is empty of people, Claire notices her bother's jacket and his diary.

Chris' diary reveals that the two left after Police Commissioner Brian shut down their operations after the Mansion Incident, with Chris doing his best to explain to the Commissioner that they are not lying about what happened,[excerpt 2] despite being unable to prove it due to lack of evidence. That they have since left Raccoon City, meaning Claire no longer has a reason to be there anymore.

Kill! (殺)

Leon and Claire meet the Mech.

Elsewhere in the RPD, two U.P.S.F. operatives (wearing the same uniform as those that attacked Birkin) stumble upon the Archer Mech, one of whom realizing that their own people are at risk due to its programming.[excerpt 3] Leon and Claire see part of the wall around them suffer damage - on the other side, the Mech has punched one of the U.P.S.F. members through the wall. Walking outside the S.T.A.R.S. office, the two meet the creature. The other U.P.S.F. member is on the ground.

Watching the two survivors, the Mech runs a quick analysis of them. Leon begins firing with his shotgun; and Claire, her handgun. They seem to ricochet off its coat. The Mech raises its powerful left hand and thrusts in their general direction. The energy released by this move triggers a shockwave which smashes several windows. In the energy release, Leon is knocked to the ground. He gets up, and he and Claire move back to retreat.

Suddenly, the Mech puts both of its fists together to form a powerful hammer, and shoots down at the two. Leon forces himself in the way of Claire to protect her, and receives the full force of the impact, coughing blood all over Claire's face.

Painful Memories (慘痛的回憶)

Leon's hatred of Umbrella is revealed.

The story takes place as a flashback Leon has while with Claire. He is attending a professional,  international basketball game between the United States and another country. Sitting in the audience, the child Leon cheers at an American player - his father, referred to simply as "papa" (Chinese: 爸爸; Pinyin: Bàba). Later, the man and child are walking around in the wilderness. A drunk man with a blond Mohawk and wearing a crucifix (drinking Umbrella-brand beer) points his gun at the two for the amusement of it. He shoots the man dead.

Further notes

Page 2 of the manhua is a character profile of Claire Redfield. It gives her birthday as "1998.2.4".

The story, "Archer Mech", shows that the manhua has renamed the 'Tyrant' concept.

A "gold edition" exists, where a S.T.A.R.S. badge on the cover appears gold.[1]
