The back seat zombie was a zombie who appeared in the opening cutscene of Resident Evil 2, in A/B mode he is a zombie who pops up from the back seat of the police car Leon and Claire are in, he startles Leon who crashes the car, there are two possible crashes;
A:The car crashes straight into the wall and the zombie flies out the front this happens on Claire A, Leon B
B:The car spins around before crashing into the wall and the zombie flies out the back of the car this happens in Leon A, Claire B and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City's demo.
This then sets up the event in which a gas truck driven by a zombie truck driver crashes into the car, Leon and Claire barely escape the crash and resulting explosion, they get separated and must both get to the Raccoon Police Department.
Trivia
- The zombie bears a resemblance to Leon in RE2.
- The zombie appears to be slightly redesigned in Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City.
