Battle Points (BP) are a form of currency that appear in Resident Evil: Revelations and Resident Evil: Revelations 2.
Resident Evil: Revelations[]
Battle Points are skill points that are earned through combat. However, in the console and PC port of Resident Evil: Revelations, there are star-shaped medallions that are hidden throughout the stages in Raid Mode that reward players with bonus Battle Points and are added to their overall score.
Battle Points are used to upgrade your character and weapons by purchasing upgrades in the shop in Raid Mode. The upgrades include improved fire power, accuracy and ammunition capacity for weapons; as well as body armor and increasing the amount limit for the number of herbs and grenades the player can carry.
There are three different types of medallions: Bronze, Silver and Gold.
As the player's skill level increases, the value of the medallions decreases; however, they can regain their value if the player chooses to lower their skill level in the character selection menu.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2[]
In Resident Evil: Revelations 2, BP is utilized exclusively in the campaign. It can be earned after completing each episode (harder difficulties yield more BP) and by achieving certain Records. BP can be used to buy Skills that improve the player's abilities or unlock new various extras, such as weapons, costumes, screen settings, secret files, concept art, figurines, and infinite ammo.
BP does not appear in Raid Mode, having been replaced with experience points and gold.
