(Covers information from Anderson's universe)
The Battle Of Arcadia takes place on the an vessel ship called Arcadia where Umbrella operatives try to recapture Alice in order to interrogate her for information on why Alice turns on Umbrella as well as capturing other prisoners such as Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield and K-Mart for any valuable info.[1]
Background[]
Arcadia was a ship owned and operated by the Umbrella Corporation. It was designed for scientific research and experimental testing on the survivors of the Global T-Virus pandemic by attracting survivors towards the vessel through false transmission of promising safe haven and shelter which Claire Redfield's convoy and the Citadel Correctional Facility group had heard about throughout the Western Coast. Shortly after picking Claire's crew up, Umbrella's men placed scarab devices onto their chest and kidnaps them with the exception of Claire, who had managed to escape.
Events[]
Arriving at the vessel[]
Shortly after the Citadel Correctional Facility Incident, Chris, Claire and Alice make their way towards the vessel ship where on the surface deck, they find no signs of survivors and discovers of Fuji T-7's wreck caused by Bennett. The three spread out and searches the levels and quarters where no one is found to be on board with Chris suggesting that the crew might have left in a hurry. Though the ship seems abandoned, Chris finds a log dated 3 days ago with 2185 passengers still on board with the ship and Alice finding the ships still run normally.
The three eventually goes down the 8-7C cargo hold where they discover the umbrella logo on the blast door which triggers Claire's memory back in Alaska and Alice realizes of the ship's true purpose. They traverse through the pristine white cargo holds and discovers the survivors to be right underneath them albeit in a cryogenic tube, they begin to free the prisoners starting with K-Mart. During the process of releasing everyone, Alice discovers 2 cryogenic tubes to be stained with blood and follows the trail towards another room of the hold with Chris soon following her trail.
Meeting Wesker[]
Alice enters the final room and meets Wesker again since Alice last attempt's to kill Wesker back in Tokyo with him revealing that he has been tracking Alice down through Umbrella's still operational satellite. Alice attempts to kill Wesker but is stopped when Bennett holds her at gunpoint. Wesker further reveals that his t-Virus powers allowed him to regenerate, but unlike Alice, the t-Virus was taking him over and he believed that due to her strong DNA, feeding on her flesh will allow him to regain full control of himself. His actions and insanity were the reason on why the crew abandoned ship. After their conversation, Alice manages to knock out Bennett and makes an attempt to retrieve her guns but is hold at bay by two Cerberus.
Chris and Claire steps into the room and engages against Wesker but the Redfield sibling aren't able to overpower him and gets beaten down and thrown into the cryogenic tubes, where they are locked up. Meanwhile, Alice engages with the Cerberus and manages to kill them both but is later stabbed with an scalpel by Bennett. Alice is able to wound Wesker with the scalpel to the head. Bennett thwarts her attempt to get her other shotgun to finish him off, but he's stopped by a recovered K-Mart who knocks him out and tosses Alice back her shotgun, allowing her to blow a massive hole through Wesker's head and free Claire and Chris. Wesker survives his wound but Claire and Chris unload their pistols into him and trap him along with Bennett. Wesker regenerates his wounds and devours Bennett and escape through another aircraft with Wesker detonating another "Purge" bomb, unaware that Alice had already placed it inside the carrier. The aircraft explodes with Wesker seemingly dying from the explosion and the group noticing the explosion from afar.
Umbrella's siege on Arcadia[]
With a ship full of 2185 survivors, Alice decides to turn Arcadia into a real sanctuary for the rest of survivors and broadcasts her own message of hope to drawing others to the ship. But soon after, a massive Umbrella force of tiltrotors commanded by Jill Valentine, who had fallen under Umbrella's control, approached the ship. The Umbrella airships open fire on the vessel and cloaked Umbrella soldiers, including Jill Valentine board and attack its inhabitants. Alice open fires on one of the airships close to her and manages to kill the pilots. The same airship crashes onto the ship's deck and she is thrown overboard and into the Pacific Ocean. Jill's forces manage to lead the successful capture of K-Mart and Chris and Claire Redfield as well as Alice.
Aftermath[]
Amidst the battle, Claire and Chris are separated from each other with Claire's chopper heading towards the HIVE, intending to interrogate her for information but Claire manages to escape of her restrains and kills the pilot which causes it to crash into Raccoon City ruins with Doc and the others later pulled her from the wreckage and welcomes her to the Raccoon City settlement called The Peak. Years later, Claire and Alice would finally reunite with one another and the pair leads a mission in infiltrating the HIVE in order to retrieve the air borne anti-virus.
