The biohazard 4 Desktop theme was a Windows DesktopX enhancement made by Samurai Works Co., Ltd. made to promote the Nintendo GameCube release of Resident Evil 4.

The product was promoted in the Goods section of the Japanese GameCube website for Resident Evil 4.
It was compatible with WindowsXP and Windows 2000 with at least 256MB of memory. It went on sale via download for 1575yen and was offered at a discounted price of 1050yen for a limited time starting 10 February 2005.[1] The desktop image were available in 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1280x768.
As a Windows DesktopX enhancement, the theme included different character wallpapers and additional functionalities accessible through the desktop such as;
- Select from four different characters (Leon, Ashely, Ada, Luis)to feature in the forefront
- Select from three different background wallpapers separate from the character (El Gigante in a composite background, Mendez and ganados in the Village, chainsaw man at the lake)
- A custom RSS feed
- A web search bar
- View the biohazard 4 and Killer 7 trailers from Tokyo Game Show
- Built it biohazard themed clock
- Capcom realted links
- Display system PC memory and C drive status' on a meter modeled after the game's health bar.
