Blacktail is a weapon in Resident Evil 4. This weapon can be obtained by purchasing it from the Merchant for 24,000₧.
Gameplay[]
True to its description, the Blacktail is a highly versatile pistol with high all-round stats including great power, high rate of fire, great reload speed, very generous aim focus (having the smallest maximum range of aim bloom of any gun in the game while being mobile), and relatively quick catch (speed of which the reticule focuses completely for maximum accuracy, damage & crit bonus), making it a reliable weapon in practically all situations. The only real downside is its low capacity; 13 shots + 1 in chamber, being the lowest of all handguns in the game. Peculiarly, the gun only takes up 4 slots in the inventory compared to other handgun's baseline size of 6 (excluding extra attachments).
All this in mind, the gun allows for a very steady and consistent run & gun playstyle not unlike its preceding & cheaper alternatives with enough investment all the while having higher baseline stats in general.
