Also I must mention that some of these images (mostly of the classes) are kind of blurry because I had to take them extremely quickly before the game started. I apologize for this, but they were the best I could do.
Even though these pictures show quite a bit of information about the game (namely the weapons and weapon names), I would highly suggest not editing any of the articles based solely on these pictures. I ask this because remember, this is a demo. All of these things are subject to change for the final release, so take this with a grain of salt. Whether this post be for archival purposes about the demo, or just a glimpse of things to come, id say it still has its importance.
Personal Gameplay Review/Opinion
It was much more enjoyable than I expected, but there's some issues with it that might affect that. but first ill go to the pros. The graphics are nice. The controls are good, but it took a bit to get used to but if you've ever played any shooter ever, you should get the hang of it quickly. It only took me a single round until i was comfortable enough with the controls to be somewhat confident in my ability, but i was still shaky with it. However it might be a bit of a learning curve to some.
I was only able to use the K-12, but the guns seemed to work well. Recoil was manageable, time to kill was long enough to allow for skilled gameplay, but short enough to punish mistakes. Shotgun seemed relatively effective, but I couldn't see too much of it cause not many people used it. Brainer looks fun and seemed effective in other peoples hands, but I wasn't in any situations where I could use it effectively. The map I played on had a lot of flank routes, which allows for surprise attack on the enemy and encourages map awareness. The jammer allows for some interesting game mechanics and encourages flanking.
But there was also some downsides. My main gripe with the game is the Crawling momentum speed. when you crawl on the floor you seem to move at almost the same rate as your general movement. Not only is this really goofy looking, it also allows for some really dumb things to happen. I saw a team use only the brainer and slide around on the floor. they would slide right behind the enemy until they noticed, or assassinate them with the brainer. And if they were noticed, their speed whilst on the floor made it so even if they fired at them they were hard to hit, especially with the shotgun. They actually won a few rounds and almost the game with this strategy.
I also think the Jammer is too good. It makes it so you can practically hug a zombie and they wont attack you. I know its supposed to jam their ability to sense you but when your within arms reach of two zombies and you walk right past them with no problem, but they will beat the shit outta most things they touch in other games, people, barricades, doors, other zombies. It just seems weird and I feel if you want to walk within arms reach of a zombie, you should be afraid to. People jogged past zombies and they didn't even bat an eye. I just feel as if they should be less docile if within a specific range even if you have the jammer. But overall I must say that I did quite enjoy playing this, and I will probably end up picking it up if I can get a PS4 in time because there's no way in hell my toaster PC is running this game. If they ever come out with a beta I would suggest trying it out, but if you're not a fan of shooters you may be better off saving your money unless any of this interests you, in which case, I guess wait for the reviews.
