Brian Irons was the chief of police for the Raccoon City Police Department in 1998.
Biography
At some point prior to 1998, Irons had formerly served as the Captain of the S.T.A.R.S. Raccoon City branch, later becoming the city's Police Chief.[1] In 1994, he was implicated in a land grabbing scam, though the allegations failed to hold up in court.[2]
In response to the discovery of Anna Mitaki's body on 1 June 1998 - the seventh report of a mysterious disappearance or violent death in mere weeks- Chief Irons made a statement describing how the RPD was "working diligently to apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime,"[3] and began consultation with city officials over the implementation of more drastic "protection measures" for the city.[4]
With the further disappearance of three hikers in mid-July, Chief Irons announced that S.T.A.R.S. would take part in the case in an official capacity for the remainder of the crisis.[5]
