Production Studio 1 (第 1 開発部,dai 1 kaihatsubu?) was an R&D studio under the auspices of Capcom Co., Ltd.. It was under the control of Executive Producer Noritaka Funamizu from its foundation until its closure in the early 2000s.
History[]
The studio was formed in 1999 during a company restructuring. The studio prioritised the development of online video games for the PlayStation, such as Auto Modellista and Monster Hunter. The third and fourth of these games were Resident Evil OutbreakResident Evil Outbreak File #2.
