Dual Handguns

Why isn't the Dual Handguns from Code Veronica in the list? It's considered a Weapon. And the Mac-11s from Veronica too? I'd fix it, but apparently I have no gun knowledge. Non-User

The "Dual Handguns"? I assume you mean either the Calico M-100Ps or the Gold Lugers. As for the M-11, I'm working on it.

And to whoever keeps making duplicate pages: STOP IT!!!!!

Reconsidering the idea that the black tail is the Springfield XD

The reason I made this petition is because if you look at the pistol grip in the black tail it is identical to the pistol grip on the FNP-9 DA/SA series. Which make sense seen the punisher is based on the Five-Seven which is also from FN.

You obviously have done almost no real research. If you had, you might have found that the FNP series was released in 2006, a year after RE4 was released. Throw in the game's development time, and you'll see why it cannot possibly be an FNP. And that's not the only place where your "petition" fails. Did you even look at anything other than the general shape of the grips? If you had, you might have noticed a few details present on the Blacktail:

  • the forward-hooked triggerguard
  • the recess around the magazine release
  • the lemon-grip safety
  • the lack of an external hammer

These are all present on the XD, and absent on the FNP. Noticing any discrepancies here?

I am really getting tired of people trying to claim that one gun is another without even comparing more than two features.

Actually I did some research and the first presentation of the FNP series was in 2003 not in 2006. Also is base on the browning design which was Claire and Ada's handgun in resident evil 2.

You countered only one point (and not very well, as I said "Released". That means available for sale, not just a display at Shot Show. FN announced that they were coming out with it in 2003, but that's about it. Not to mention the fact that the one they announced in '03 was the FNP-45, which looks even less like the Blacktail.) As for the rest of my points (all of which regard the actual design of the weapon), they still stand. I find it hard to believe that you actually researched the design if you missed the fact that it has a hammer while the Blacktail does not. It sounds to me like you just went and read the article from world.guns.ru, then regurgitated some of it's history.

Your "petition" is still disproved. And try actually proof-reading what you post before you post it. Neglecting the most basic points of English when your trying to argue doesn't help your case. If you used proper grammar, I might take you more seriously. --User:GunFreak 06:01, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

I apologize if I upset you Gun freak I was just trying to put my point of view. I'm more than happy with this page and that is why I wanted to add something from my part. If I find anything else I will post it.

Gun Freak I maybe wrong but i was looking at the cut scenes in which Ada was presented with the black tail and it look like a hybrid between the FN49 and the FNP9. Again if I'm wrong my apologize just trying to add something to the cause.

1.) Your still not even proofreading what you post. If you're trying to make a point and not just ask a question, using poor grammar and punctuation seriously hurts your argument. I've said this three times now, and you just ignore it, so you are obviously not trying very hard to persuade me.

2.) That's nice if you're trying to add something, but it's best of you don't just spontaneously add information to articles without checking them first (yes, I saw your edit to the Blacktail article - [1]) Use your head when you contribute.

3.) You realize that the FN49 is a compact pistol, right? The size difference alone kills that argument. And half of the physical differences still apply. Face it, THE BLACKTAIL IS NOT AN FN PISTOL.

You're right. And while we are in the topic of handguns, could you tell me your opinion on the SIG-Sauer P226 tactical as a look a like for Leon's handgun. And thanks for writing back.

I've actually used the P226 as a look-alike for it before (it doesn't fool the more enthusiastic fans, but most gamers fall for it). Just add a pair of wood grips (I recommend stained walnut), and refinish the slide and barrel to look like they're stainless steel. Lauer Custom Weaponry has a "Stainless Steel" spray-on finish that only costs $16 for a 4oz bottle. They also sell an aerosol sprayer for about $11. After that, just remove the decocker lever.--User:GunFreak 03:01, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

GF, he's also pushing this on IMFDB [2] and has been told pretty much the same thing. Ghost Leader 20:33, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
And Leon's default pistol definitely isn't a 226. The 226 isn't as blocky. Ghost Leader 20:45, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
Little late there' I already refuted him on IMFDB (note the date and the link). And yes, I know Leon's Handgun isn't a P226 (I wrote the analysis on it, remember?) but it can be used as a stand in if one is needed for a costume/display/ect. The USP can also work as a stand-in, but the lack of wood grips hurts the charade.--User:GunFreak 03:38, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I wasn't sure what "stand-in" meant. Ghost Leader 11:47, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

Page removal

I'm trying to get the "Umbrella-made Weapons" section removed from the weapon-name area of the weapons page. Could someone help me out?
