In the scenario Hellfire in Resident Evil Outbreak, if you check the guest list at the Apple Inn's Hotel register you will see Claire's name listed. This most likely means that Claire made a reservation there before her arrival to Raccoon City.
According to Alyson Court, Claire's likeness was based on Neve Campbell in Resident Evil 2 and Liv Tyler in Code: Veronica.[1]
The designs on the jackets of both of Claire's primary outfits in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica contain references to the band Queen. "Made in Heaven" (from RE2) and "Let Me Live" (from CV) are both names of Queen songs. She shares this trait with Billy Coen (whose tattoo, "Mother Love", is also the name of a Queen song).
Claire's Resident Evil 2 original outfit has a "Made in Heaven" design on the back. The same logo has her brother, Chris, on the jacket of his alternate outfit, in Resident Evil.
In Resident Evil 1.5, in the kennel, there is a dog called "Claire", since there is a cage with that name.
