Klaus was a squad leader in the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service.
He and his team were sent in to locate and retrieve the Umbrella Corporation scientist, Dr. Cameron. However, the team was systematically slaughtered during their search through Raccoon City.
Klaus and another agent, Roger tried to escape, but it was revealed that Cameron was in fact the creature that had been stalking the squad, and that she had transferred her consciousness into Roger.
The infected Roger, whom was now mutated into a version of Cameron then uses two of her tentacles to pull Klaus' face apart. Klaus is now dead and more than likely a part of the next and further mutation form of Dr.Cameron. No further events are revealed of his current status.
