The Crank (クランク kuranku) is an item that appears in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.[1]
Main Game[]
In the main game, the Crank is located in the Old House, inside the basement crawl space. It was shown at the end of the "Mia" Videotape, and could be interacted with.
The Crank is used in four places to create bridges.
- It will raise a bridge to an outhouse containing the Crow Key. The crank point is near an insect hive.
- It will raise a bridge between the 2 halves of the Old House.
- Upon leaving the Testing Area, a bridge must be raised to a series of piers.
- Travelling through the piers to the crank point, It's final use will raise the bridge to the Boat House, but also trigger the spawning of both Molded and Quick Molded on the pathway there.
Not A Hero[]
It is also an item in the minigame "Not a Hero" and found in Work Sector A, next to 2 Neuro-Stun Grenades and before a drop off point. It is used in combination with the Gear to lower the crate containing the Cell Key.
