Crimson Head

When a zombie has been incapacitated for some time, a process occurs in which it mutates into a V-ACT, more commonly known as a Crimson Head due to the colour of its skin when in this state. When it has entered this state, it runs after the player, and the only way of stopping it is by destroying its head. The Crimson Head even jumps at its victim due to an increase in blood-lust.

Crimson Head Elder

The Crimson Head Elder was a Crimson Head that was sealed in a coffin beneath the Arklay Research Facility. It was the original prototype of the Crimson Head and was also known as The Prototype 1. It could slaughter anything within its radius. The Crimson Head Elder is suspected to be George Trevor the man who designed the mansion. This theory is supported by the fact that the masks which you must gather to engage the Crimson Head Elder are a reference to Lisa Trevor's tendency to rip off the faces of Umbrella employees.

Attack Patterns

A Crimson Head attacks with much force, running at the player. It has been known to even kill zombies that get in its way. It will sometimes bite causing minor damage or when it gets the chance it will swipe with its large claws causing massive damage. The original protoype, the Crimson Head Elder, killed many researcers during its observations.
