Deborah Harper was the younger sister of government agent Helena Harper.

History

Deborah and her sister were shown to be held by Derek C. Simmons beneath the Tall Oaks Cathedral laboratory. Helena tried her best to keep her terrified sister calm and reassure her. Under Simmons' command, men come to take Deborah away, leaving Helena to futilely beg and plead for them to let her go. Helena offered herself to Simmons in exchange for her sister. Her pleas did nothing as Deborah was dragged away to a then-unknown fate.

Helena has been known to be very protective of her sister, having shot an abusive ex-boyfriend of Deborah's and wounded him. It is likely due to her sister's protective nature that Deborah was kidnapped and used to get her sister to help Simmons. Despite Helena obeying Simmons in causing the death of the President, Deborah was still experimented on.

Mutation

Ada joins Leon and Helena in the fight against Deborah.

After delving into the depths of the Tall Oaks cathedral, Helena and Leon find Deborah lying unconscious on a table. Helena and Leon fight their way through with a weakened Deborah until her condition worsens and they are forced to stop. Deborah becomes even more ill, displaying strange symptoms before suddenly bursting into flames. Leon is forced to hold Helena back as Deborah transforms before their eyes, a strange goo surrounding her that hardens over her like a shell. The back of the casing cracks open and a mutated, slimy Deborah emerges. As Helena apologizes to her sister and attempt to comfort her, Ada shoots Deborah with her crossbow.[1] This triggers a battle with the mutated Deborah Harper as the three fight to survive.

Biology

When hatched, the mutated Deborah is found naked though she has no truly notable new anatomy. Her skin has taken on a sickeningly pale green tone, seeming considerably slimy at times. Long trails of veins are also very evident, most notably across her face where they are uncharacteristically red. Her speed and agility is above the average human level and, as acknowledged by Leon, she is exceptionally strong.

A primary and seemingly controllable mutation found in Deborah's new form are very large segmented and jointed appendages, resembling the legs of an arachnid. The newly-grown appendages are sharp enough to be easily capable of slashing and even impaling an unwary person.

Behavior

Little is known about Deborah's behavior after her mutation, though it is apparent she either has no recollection of her relation to Helena or is incapable of restraining herself. The only other behavior shown is an obvious over-sexualized and suggestive demeanor. It could be that Deborah was made to be a breeder for the C-Virus, explaining her over-sexualized behavior.
