The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is a research and development agency of the United States Department of Defense. Founded in 1958 to deal with the Sputnik crisis, DARPA is responsible for the development of emerging technologies for use by the military. Antonio Taylor was a scientist employed by this agency due to his knowledge of robotics engineering.[1]
