Derek Azula (デレック・アズーラ derekku azūra) was a prison guard for the Douglas Prison in Raccoon City.[1][2]
Biography[]
On the morning of August 30th, 1996, Derek assisted an inmate named Kyle Brendan in an attempted prison escape. The breakout ultimately failed, and Derek refused to comment on the incident.

The Daily Raccoon refers to Derek as a 'prison guard,' using the term "看守" in the original Japanese script.
The English script refers to Derek as an 'acquittance,' a misleading term that incorrectly suggests he was also an inmate.
