"There's something written on the tag. The tag reads "Dining Car"."
— Item examination

The Dining Car Key (食堂車のカギ Shokudō-sha no kagi?) is a key item in Resident Evil 0. It appears a normal small metal key with attached to a keyring and tag for it. It is referred to as "Train Key" until being examined.

Purpose[]

It is used in second Class passenger car A to gain access to the dining car.[1]

Location[]

This key is found in the second car passage, held by a corpse against the door to the engine. After the player picks up and key and puts it in their inventory, a scene plays where Rebecca is confronted by Billy; discovers Edward Dewey and is attacked by Cerberuses.[1]
