Events[]

Neolithic and Before[]

  • An Ndipaya tribesman consumes a Sonnentreppe flower in a cave, contracting a viral infection that grants him superhuman abilities. Revered as an immortal god, he pioneers technological advancements not replicated for many centuries and constructs a city within the caves. Eventually, mutant animals destroy the city, and the survivors swear to keep the secrets of their city hidden until a new king emerges.[1]
  • Legends speak of a superhuman believed to have existed in what is now Ireland.[2]
  • A cave-dwelling culture emerges on an island in Spain, known as Los Iluminados, who worship the Plaga parasites.[3]

Iron Age and Before[]

  • An underground city is constructed in Valdelobos. presently located in Spain, possibly by Los Iluminados.[4]
  • A mountain range in Eastern Europe becomes home to an underground city built by four superhumans. When their civilization vanishes, the survivors establish a village nearby.[5]
  • A Native American tribe establishes a civilization within a cavern in New England.[6]

1st Century[]

  • Early 1st century: The life of Jesus of Nazareth.[7]

11th Century[]

  • 1095: The First Crusade commences as the Vatican calls for Christian reconquest of the Levant.[8]

13th Century[]

  • 1291: The last of the Crusader states falls.[8]

15th Century[]

  • 1480s: Italian artist Sandro Botticelli paints "The Birth of Venus."
  • Late 15th Century: During the final years of Reconquista, Salazar leads a crusade in Valdelobos against Los Iluminados, wiping out most believers and driving the Plagas into the underground city, which he seals off. To prevent the cult's resurgence, he constructs a castle above the caverns to maintain Catholic control over the area.[4]
  • The Dimitrescu family builds a castle in the Eastern European mountain range. The region becomes the setting of a conflict involving mutants, which later become a defining feature in local folklore.[5]

17th Century[]

  • Early 17th century: "The Family," a secret society, establishes its presence in British America. After discovering the New England caverns near what is now Tall Oaks, they establish it as their headquarters. A church is constructed above a secret entrance to the caverns, with the upper layers evolving into a series of catacombs.[6]
  • 1618-1648: The Thirty Years' War occurs in the Holy Roman Empire, resulting in the death of 7.5 million people.[8]

18th Century[]

  • Undated: With the rise of global shipping during the Age of Sail, the Travis family establishes their own mercantile company.[9]
  • 1775-1782: Following a series of colonial uprisings in British America, the Kingdom of Great Britain recognizes the newly formed United States of America.

19th Century[]

  • Undated: 1st Countess Ashford begins the legacy of the Ashford family.[10]
  • 1801: Ludwig van Beethoven orchestrates the Moonlight Sonata.
  • 1802: A painting is created depicting the Old House in Dulvey Parish, Louisiana.
  • 1840-1873: David Livingstone embarks on a series of expeditions to Africa, achieving international fame.[9]
  • Mid-19th century: Inspired by Livingstone's expeditions, Henry Travis embarks on his own 34-year expedition.[9]
  • 1850-1864: China plunges into a civil war between the Qing Dynasty loyalists and the supporters of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. The Qing forces eventually emerge victorious, resulting in the loss of 20 million lives.[8]
  • Late 19th century: Miranda is born during this period.
  • Late 19th century: Travis Enterprises becomes a major industrial power in Africa, leveraging the information obtained from Henry Travis' expedition.[9]
  • Late 19th century: Norshteyn takes his own life upon completing his Labyrinth models.[11]
  • 1892: The Abercrombie Salt Mine in Louisiana experiences a collapse, resulting in the death of two miners and life-changing injuries for a third.
