Doug

Doug was a pilot working for the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. Doug was ordered by Delta team Captain Josh Stone to pick him and Jill Valentine up.

He finally arrived in time to save the two from a number of heavily-armed Majini, after being forced into taking a detour to avoid attacking Kipepeos. The Majini were being led by an Agitator majini.

Setting down on a landing pad, Doug got out of the helicopter to buy Josh and Jill enough time to get inside, while he used his SIG 556 to slow down the advancing Majini. They were too high in number however, and one managed to slip by him - armed with a missile launcher. Firing at him, Doug noticed it just in time to run to the helicopter, but was unfortunate enough that the missile was tracking him, inevitably killing him in an explosion.

Josh took command of the chopper, while Jill held off the few Majini left with a Sig 556, and flew out to the Atlantic ocean to rescue Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar, determined not to let Doug's sacrifice be in vain.

Trivia

• Doug is one of the few characters/enemies in Resident Evil 5 who does not have a figurine.
• Josh can be seen from the reflection in his helmet visor during the last cutscene in Desperate Escape.
• Doug is one of only three characters in the series to say "fuck" (the others being Kirk Mathison and Arnold). In previous games, profanities have gone as far as shit, and Jill Valentine being the first character to audibly swear, with Chris Redfield, Barry Burton, Billy Coen, Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield and several other characters, including some from the Outbreak series also swearing in some of their appearances.
