The East office (東側オフィス Higashigawa ofisu?)[1] served as the RPD's detective wing, as referenced in the Resident Evil Archives. This area is featured in Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil Outbreak File #2, and Resident Evil 3.

Description

It is the east office of the Raccoon City Police Department that contains multiples boxes, copy machine, several computers, files and cases. There is also a small office in the back which contains a computer desk with some papers stacked on top. Across from it on the floor in the corner lays a small locker which needs the code to unlock.

There are four zombies and one crawling zombie scattered throughout the room.

There is an Ink Ribbon on the small desk in the middle of the room, a pack of H. Gun Bullets on the office desk only during Leon B and Claire B, another pack on the corpse in the back hall, a Green Herb behind the office desk in the JP version, and two Green Herbs in the USA versions.

There's a locked safe in the office taht ca nbe opened using the combination written in the Police memorandum file (which is "2236" in all versions except on N64 where it will be "4542"). The safe contains Shotgun Shells during Leon A and Leon B, Acid Rounds during Claire A and Claire B, and the "police station map" which reveals Raccoon City Police Department 1F.

During Leon B and Claire B, the Valve Handle is on the shelf on the east wall.

The west exit leads to the 1F lobby, the east side door goes to the Emergency stairwell, and the north goes to the 1F east hall which requires the Heart Key to open.

Players will start the "Desperate Times" scenario here in Normal Mode. Marvin's office is also here. He has a meeting with other officers here to escape.

Claire and Leon run through the office on their way to the roof.
