For the location from the 2021 film, see Emmy's Diner (Roberts).
Emmy's was a cafe in Raccoon City. It was located somewhere in the north of the city near a cinema and a diner.[1]
History[]
Claire Redfield stopped at this cafe when she entered Raccoon City on September 29, 1998. Inside she was almost killed by a zombie, but ran out the side exit and was saved by police officer Leon S. Kennedy where they both escaped into a police car headed to the Raccoon Police Station.
Further notes[]
- Based on the appearance of the streets from inside and outside Emmy's, it does not appear to be the diner that also appears in the Resident Evil 2 intro and instead is a different building on the opposite side of the street.
- The opening cutscene of the original Resident Evil 2 marks the only appearance of the location in both canon and the video game medium, as it is absent from both the Darkside Chronicles and Operation Raccoon City retellings, and is replaced by a Mizoil Gas Station in the opening of the 2019 remake. However, the location has made several key appearances in other non-canon formats, such as the Wildstorm's "Official Comic Magazine", S.D. Perry's "City of the Dead" novel, and the 2021 film "Welcome to Raccoon City".
