There are objects found in some Resident Evil that the player can interact with by shooting or pushing them which may help them dealing with confronted enemies.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis[]
In Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Jill Valentine will stumble during her escapade on multiple occasions where she can use the environment towards her advantage. Such as using gas barrels and claymores as explosives to take out surrounding enemies, or shooting lamps which will make them explode throwing some fire puddles hitting enemies underneath it, or a hanging wood pallet that can be dropped on top of an enemy, among other things.
A wood pallet can be found in the construction site.
Two interactive lamps can be found in the road near The Raccoon Press.
Another four in the front plaza of the Raccoon Park (one of them was just shot).
