The Federal Bureau of Investigation (連邦警察局 renpō keisatsukyoku?) is a United States federal law enforcement agency that carries out domestic intelligence and security services.

History[]

In 1998 after the Mansion Incident, Chris Redfield while still part of the Raccoon Police Department's Special Tactics and Rescue Service unit requested the FBI to conduct an investigation of the G-Virus and Brian Irons. During the investigations, no information about the G-Virus was uncovered but they had found evidence implicating Irons as taking bribes from Umbrella as well as harbouring a dark past. On September 29, section chief Jack Hamilton of Internal Investigations sent their findings back via fax to Chris (although he would not end up receiving it due to not being in Raccoon City at the time).[1]

In late 2005, the FBI detained a soldier in the Bajirib Army who they believed linked to a terrorist attack in India.[2]

In 2006, the FBI investigated a bombing at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and requested USSTRATCOM agent Leon S. Kennedy's assistance due to him having investigated a similar bombing in the past.[3]
