Retelling the events of the original Resident Evil, S.T.A.R.S. officers Albert Wesker, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine have arrived at the Spencer Mansion. Chris explores on his own, killing the Zombie that killed Kenneth J. Sullivan. Later, a Cerberus jumps through a window at him, which he shoots. With a Shotgun he is confronted by the Yawn in the attic, and against Web Spinners in the dormitory. Back at the Mansion, he kills a Hunter as it lunges at him. Eventually he finds himself in the lab, where Jill is being kept in a prison cell by Wesker. He finds Wesker in a laboratory room where a creature called "Tyrant" is being stored. The creature escapes and impales him with its claws, then turning to face Chris. Tyrant is downed by shotgun fire, and Chris returns to free Jill. At a helipad, the Tyrant returns, breaking through the concrete between floors, but they are able to escape on a helicopter as the mansion explodes.
