The encapsulation laboratory is an area on the Island. It was mainly visited by Ada Wong, though Leon can get to this room by using the door from the Old operating room.[1]

Leon finds Ashley here inside a large capsule, only to be attacked by Osmund Saddler. Luckily enough, Ada arrived at the right time to help the two by shooting her TMP. Despite her best effort, it didn't do any damage to Saddler at all. Though she managed to cut him off by shooting some oil drums making Saddler unable to reach both Leon and Ashley.
Assuming Leon's role, the two eventually go outside where both finds a merchant and one of Luis' memo before going inside the old operating room.
In Separate Ways, Ada would face Saddler here. Upon "defeating" him, Ada would obtain the plaga sample but only for her to be attacked and captured by the revived Saddler.
