The Resident Evil 5 Demo on the Nintendo Switch was released on October 10, 2019.

Content

Only Chapter 1-1 is playable in the demo, with Chris Redfield also being the only playable character regardless of how many times the demo is finished. In order to play the demo in co-op mode, players can either join a friend's game via a LAN system where two Nintendo Switch consoles are required, or they can use the splitscreen system. An online co-op connection is not possible.

The demo can only be played on the Amateur, Normal or Veteran difficulties, Professional cannot be unlocked.

Some progress from the demo can also be saved and carried over to the full game, this includes: all achievements, any chapter progress and select weapons, items and money. If the demo is finished, the "Safari" Chris costume will be unlocked by default in the full game if players keep the demo data.

This demo does not include the motion controls which were added to the full game via a patch.
