The Choice -Freedom-[note 1] is a cutscene in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, which plays if Ethan decides to cure Zoe with the serum.
Plot[]
Ethan managed to reach Mia and Zoe at the docks. With only one dose of serum left, Ethan injects Zoe and Mia is heartbroken over the choice despite Ethan's promises to send help.
Transcript[]
Ethan Winters: "I had to use one of them. There's only one left."
Mia Winters: "There's only one left? There can't just be one left."
Zoe Baker: "What the hell are we gonna do now?"
Ethan: "I'm sorry. I really am. But Zoe will be able to guide the two of us to safety, and then I can come back for you."
Mia: "Go. I don't wanna hear it. Both of you just go!"
Ethan: "Mia."
Mia: "Go!"
"My place is here—with her."
Ethan: "Don't be ridiculous."
Mia: "You forget. I still have a job to do."
