The Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta was the second demo of Resident Evil Re:Verse, it was announced on March 22, 2021[1] (which was the 25th Anniversary date of the series) and took place between April 8–11. Unlike the closed beta, this version is playable on PC for the first time and does not require any type of registration.
According to the game's site, this version of the beta tested "the game's system, balance, and servers".[2]
The open beta suffered from various server issues, because of this, it was suspended for several hours.[3][4] After the beta ended, the game's official site was updated to state that a second period would be held.[5] It took place between April 14–16.[6] A third period took place for 24 hours on April 21.[7]

The open beta's content is the same as the closed beta.
Differences[]
- "Survivors" were renamed to "Humans".
- When killed by an enemy player, the game will show their perspective and display "REVENGE TARGET" at the bottom.
- Various characters' winning poses have been changed.
- Leon's Roundhouse Kick animation was changed.
- Chris' Indomitable Spirit now makes his model glow white.
- The UI for the skills menus have been redesigned.
- HUNK's Assassinate and Jill's HOT DOGGER received a damage nerf.

- An online connection was required to play this beta.
- Users could play this beta on the PlayStation 5 and/or the Xbox Series X via the two console's native backwards compatibility.
