In Leon A, the sample will be automatically given to Leon once he goes back to the B4F east area passage after acquiring the MO Disk. He will then automatically throw it away during the cutscene in the Main shaft.
In The 4th Survivor, HUNK starts out with the sample of the G-Virus by default.
