Galaxie 5000

The Galaxie 5000 was a train featured in Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 2 (2019). Resident Evil Outbreak and Darkside Chronicles . It was used by Claire, Leon and Sherry to escape NEST. The Alexi 5000 seen in the Resident Evil film is based on this train.

Resident Evil 2 (2019)

This area is only accessible during 2nd scenario, following a cutscene after reaching here by either using the Lift (Leon) / Turntable (Claire) platform. During gameplay, the player can enter the cargo that contains a Typewriter and Item Box, along with several items nearby: two Gunpowder (Large) and Combat Knife. Entering the next cargo will spawn G that has mutated into its final form, forcing the player to fight it by using any available weapons. Once G approach closely, it will reveal its weakspot (eyeball), applying enough damage will defeat it. Fail to do so will cause instant death.

The train react differently between original game: + In original 1998 game, there's a biohazard detection on the train, make it explode right after it detected a G-virus creature on the train. Sherry managed to emergency stop the train and the trio run toward the tunnel before the self-destruct explode, taking G along with it. + In both Darkside Chronicles & 2019 game, G is destroyed by the car getting disected from the running train, and G and taken with the lab self-destruction. The main train car is intact and led the trio out of the tunnel safely.
