The Giesel Bio-Weapons Complex was a secret bio-weapon manufacturing depot located on the border of Urador, and managed by Giesel Industries.[1]
It was destroyed in 2008 by a team of BSAA agents when they planted explosive charges throughout the complex under strict orders to permanently disable the facility.
History []
The Giesel Bio-Weapons Complex was chosen by Giesel Industries to be constructed by around and beneath an ancient ziggurat due to its isolation. The hard-packed rock terrain also made air attacks and ground-penetrating imaging technology useless against the facility.
With the increasing demands for B.O.W.s on the black market, this facility was created with bio-weapons research and development in mind. To compete, Giesel Industries developed low-cost B.O.W.s mirroring Umbrella's own line of bio-weapons in an underground laboratory. The complex was also used to showcase various B.O.W.s in development, namely Überhunds, Zombies, unidentified Hunter and Eliminator based bio-weapons and the prototype Tyrant, Übersoldat. Unique additions Giesel Industries made on all of their B.O.W.s to differentiate themselves from the competition were implants restricting their motor skills as well as explosive devices surgically placed inside every B.O.W. for the user's safety, in the circumstance a bio-weapon ever became a threat to them. One of the most notable visitors to this facility was the fascist dictator of Urador, General Del Valle, looking to use B.O.W.s to secure the country's place in the world.
In 2008, a team of B.S.A.A. agents led by Holiday Sugarman and Mina Gere infiltrated the complex in pursuit of Neuermann Giesel to take him into custody. They were supplied with explosive charges with the task of permanently disabling the facility. The mission to destroy the complex was ultimately a success, as the explosives obliterated the entire compound, destroying the research laboratory and any B.O.W.s inside.
In the aftermath of the facility's destruction, it became public that Giesel Industries was responsible for the recent bio-weapon attacks and outbreaks in Grezbekistan, Übelandia and Urador. Fritz Giesel, however, was able to use an alibi, stating that Neuermann Giesel was guilty for all occurrences. Fritz Giesel then took full responsibility for the events and compensated the affected countries for the damages.[2]
