The Giga Bite was a Flea mutated to unusual height by the Tyrant virus. The changes in behaviour had apparently turned the fleas into a "social hierarchy" (all cooperate to defend their queen).
She was the mother to a colony of Mega Bites that lived underneath South Raccoon Street in a subway station.
During the Raccoon City Destruction Incident, she and many of her children were killed by Jim Chapman and two other survivors.[1] It is unknown if any of her children survived. While the most likely scenario is, as the Mega Bites were low-caste, they would have died lacking any reproductive skills, it is possible that, given the right circumstances, one Mega Bite could have grown into a Giga Bite as a survival measure.
Trivia
- Her name is a pun of the computer memory size called a Gigabyte which is far larger than the Megabyte (Mega Bite).
- The Giga Bite can be killed quickly with the Assault Rifle, though it is advised that you collect spare magazines whether present.
