Great Ambition (AC-015) is an Action Card in Resident Evil: The Deck Building Game, introduced in the first expansion set, Alliance.
Overview
Great Ambtion is one of the few cards in the game (alongside Cephalo and the Grenade Launcher) to share an effect with a character. In this case, it shares its effect with HUNK; if the player has no partner character, they get to draw two cards. Additionally, the symbol effects of Great Ambtion grants the player +10 Gold and +1 Action. It has a Gold Cost of 50.
The artwork on the card is taken from the PAL region box art of Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, depicting Albert Wesker, the Umbrella logo, and a few zombies.
Strategies
- As stated above, this card shares an effect with HUNK, specifically HUNK's Level 2 effect. If placed in the situation required to use both card's effects (lack of a partner) combining these cards could lead to a player drawing 4 cards or more if the player uses the additional action granted by Great Ambtion to play another one.
- The additional cards make it invaluable to the second Jack Krauser, who's damage is based on how many cards thep layer using him has.
- Though the amount of Gold it gives is superfluous, Albert Wesker could use his first effect in conjunction with it to make smaller purchases a little easier.
