This page contains the healing items and health related game mechanics that appear in Resident Evil CODE:Veronica.

Summary

In Resident Evil CODE:Veronica, health condition is represented by an ECG signal on the player's status screen, and by the player character's stance as well. When health reaches 0%, the character dies, and it results in a game over.

Healing can only be done by using healing items in the inventory menu.

Health conditions

The five health conditions in Resident Evil CODE:Veronica are the following[1]:

  • Fine (health between 60% and 100%)
    RECV Fine
  • Yellow Caution (health between 30% and 59%)
    RECV YCaution
  • Orange Caution (health between 15% and 29%)
    RECV OCaution
  • Danger (health between 1% and 14%)
    RECV Danger
  • Poison (health decreases by 1HP/sec until 1%)
    RECV Poison

The maximum health of a character is 200HP, in both normal and easy difficulties.

Not only is health condition represented by a different notation and colour but also by an erratic heart rate (as shown on pictures).

There are also changes in the player character's stance and movement:

  • Normal stance and walking (Fine)
  • Wounded stance and limping (Caution and Poison - even if health is above 75%)
  • Heavily wounded stance and heavy limping (Danger and Poison - if health is below 25%)
