Background[]
The "Huge Plant" was a mutant t-Virus-infected plant that grew up inside the Abandoned Hospital.
Lovingly referred to as "Dorothy" by former hospital Director "Dr. Albert Lester" who believed that the plant was a reincarnation of his deceased wife, Dorothy Lester.
History[]
1993[]
In 1993, a t-Virus outbreak known as the "Arklay Hospital Incident" occurred, with a number of victims. the origin of this tragedy was illegal experiments conducted by Umbrella Pharmaceuticals via two or three dummy pharmaceutical companies.
The experiments themselves used a special t-Virus variant with medical properties such as Cancer-treating, making it an Oncolytic virus.
The Outbreak[]
The outbreak started when Dorothy turned into a Zombie and began attacking people in the hospital, one of them a Raccoon Press reporter named Kurt.
Umbrella succeeded in covering up the incident, and the hospital was closed down.
1998[]
After Dorothy Lester's death, the t-Virus variant "T-JCCC 203" managed to infect an unknown species of plant. When her husband Al Lester found it, it had grown through the entire Hospital, and consumed Dorothy's corpse.
Still grieving his wife, he believed that his wife had been "reincarnated". Al, who was also infected with the T-JCCC 203, began killing hikers, feeding their corpses to the plant he believed to be Dorothy.[1]
