After Dorothy Lesters' death, the t-Virus variant "T-JCCC203" managed to infect a plant. When her husband Albert Lester found it, it had grown through the entire Hospital, and consumed Dorothy's corpse.
Still grieving his wife, he believed that his wife had been "reincarnated". Al, who was also infected with the T-JCCC203, began killing hikers, feeding their corpses to the plant he believed to be Dorothy.
