"Initializing the Linear Launcher"[note 1] is a cutscene in Resident Evil CODE:Veronica. It plays in the final stage of the game, in the Antarctic Base's control room passageway.
Plot[]
Once Chris set of the self-destruct system and meeting up with Claire, Alexia appeared before them blocking their way while reforming herself. Chris decides to release the Linear Launcher with the help of Claire. Once both sides were done and Alexia started approaching them, Chris tells Claire to run away while keeping her busy, Claire was about to object but Chris insisted that he can take care of it.
Transcript[]
Claire: "What are we gonna do?"
Chris: "Okay, turn the key clockwise simultaneously on three."
Claire: "Got it!"
Chris: "One... Two... Three!"
Computer Voice: "Warning - The Safety Box will not be released until charging is complete."
Chris: "I'll keep her busy. Just go for the emergency elevator!"
Claire: "Chris, but..."
Chris: "I can take care of this! Just go!"
Claire: "You have to make it; don't die on me!"
