It's the truth[note 1] is a cutscene in Resident Evil 2. It plays during the Claire B scenario.
Plot[]
When Claire reunites with Sherry, she asks Sherry if she knew about the G-sample, to which Sherry claims that she never knew about it. Claire tells her once more that she will hold onto the sample for safe-keeping, but Sherry said she never had anything and it's the truth. Claire wonders why would her mother say something like this.
Transcript[]
Claire Redfield: "Sherry! You're okay."
"Sherry, did your mum give you something called 'G-Virus?' Either a vial or a test tube?"
Sherry Birkin: "G-Virus? I've never heard of anything like that before."
Claire: "Are you absolutely sure? If you give it to me, I'll hold onto it for safe-keeping."
Sherry: "But I really don't have anything. It's the truth."
Claire: "But why would her mum say something like that?"
Claire Redfield:「シェリー! よかった・・・」
「シェリー あなたママからG-ウィルスを? ビンか何かで・・・」
Sherry Birkin:「G-ウィルス? ・・・そんなの聞いた事ないわ」
Claire:「本当のこと言って 持ってるなら 私が預かっておくわ」
Sherry:「でも知らないもの・・・ 本当よ」
Claire:「どういう事かしら・・・」
