The JMB Hp3 is is modeled after the real world [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Browning_Hi-Power Browning Hi-Power], a high capacity 9mm pistol designed in between 1914–1935 by Dieudonné Saive and the legendary firearm designer John Moses Browning. The "Hp" in the JMB Hp3's name could be an omage to it's origin.

For its 1998 counterpart, see Hand Gun (RE2 Claire's).

JMB Hp3 is a handgun that appears in the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Location

The JMB Hp3 is exclusive to Claire, it's inside the trunk of a police car at the Parking Garage, it requires the Car Key in order to open it. The key is at the outside part of the Firing Range inside a Tin Storage Box.

Gameplay

"13-shot, 9mm handgun. First to use double-stack magazines, it was a marvel of firepower at the time due to how many rounds it could hold."
— Inventory description

By default it has a maximum magazine size of 13. The gun has a laser sight attached, which omits the need of focus upon moving or shooting.

A High-Capacity Mag. can be found inside a safe in the Waiting Room by inputting 6, 2,11 (direction of which the number is input doesn't matter so long as the correct numbers are used); as seen in the Confiscation Report file. It comes with a prefixed Laser Sight, which eliminates catch time / focus and allows for consistent potshot without any delays.

While it does similar damage per shot to standard SLS60, its sheer capacity, fast reload speed and lack of need for focus time for potshot overshadows the latter completely until one obtains the Reinforced Frame.
