"Don't shoot! I'm unarmed!" — Jack's final words. |
Jack (died October 1, 1998) was a civilian who was caught up in the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident. During the outbreak, he attempted to leave the city through one of its exits and was killed by the Umbrella Security Service unit stationed there.[1]
Biography[]
In the early morning of October 1, 1998, Jack had attempted to leave Raccoon City via the underpass, unaware of the roadblocks that had been set up around the city by the Umbrella Security Service.
Noticing a commotion, he openly enquired how long the road would take to clear. When one of the other citizens attempted to punch one of the soldiers, the armed group retaliated by opening fire on the unarmed civilians. Jack managed to evade the immediate gunfire by ducking behind the pillars of the underpass and made his way to Chief Irons' vehicle, where he pleaded to be let in. Irons refused, kicking him with the door when he attempted to open it and addressing Jack by name.
With no other option, Jack threw his arms in the air and shouted that he was unarmed in hopes that the soldiers would spare him, but he was shot and killed immediately thereafter.
