"Me and my sweet ass are on the way!" — Jessica Sherawat |
Jessica Sherawat (ジェシカ・シェラワット jeshika sherawatto ) was a member of the Federal Bioterrorism Commission who later became a member of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. She was secretly a spy, working as a triple agent for TRICELL all along.
Biography[]
Terragrigia Panic[]
In 2004, Jessica was a part of the FBC, partnered with Parker Luciani during the biological attack to the floating city of Terragrigia. The two worked together to rescue a wounded Raymond Vester,[4] and after fighting through waves of Veltro controlled Hunters the two escaped the doomed city via helicopter shortly before their commander, Commissioner Morgan Lansdale, ordered Terragrigia's destruction at the hands of the Regia Solis satellite.[5]
After the incident, both her and Parker joined the BSAA.
Veltro Investigation[]
In 2005, she was interviewed by a woman from the Global Pharmaceutical Consortium believed to be Excella Gionne, who she told about the BSAA Agents involved in this mission and about her next mission where she worked alongside Chris Redfield as the two investigated reports on the return of Il Veltro. Sent to investigate the remote Valkoinen Mökki Airport,[6] they were contacted mid-mission by Clive R. O'Brian, who informed them that Jill and Parker had gone missing in the Mediterranean Sea on the Queen Zenobia, which was also supposedly controlled by Veltro.[7] Due to miscommunications, they ended up on the Queen Semiramis.[8] Finally reaching the Queen Zenobia, they met up with Jill and Parker.
At that moment, a masked figure believed to be Veltro leader Jack Norman appeared, threatening to reveal the secret of Lansdale's labs on board the ships. Jessica, who had been a double agent acting as a mole for Lansdale, took the initiative and shot the masked man.[9] This man was later revealed to be a disguised Raymond Vester, who was working under the orders of Director O'Brian to attempt to expose Lansdale's illicit operations. Vester then supposedly died from his wounds.
Agreeing to split into their old partnerships, Chris and Jill investigated the ship's labs while Parker and Jessica headed to bridge to lower the ships bulkheads to help slow the sinking. She then told Parker to split up and head to the bridge while she went to check on something, but said she'd meet him there.[10] In reality, she took a more direct route to the bridge in an attempt to activate the ship's self-destruct mechanism to destroy the labs and protect Lansdale. Where she was caught in the act by Parker, who Raymond had told about her being the mole, and an unharmed Raymond before she could. Feigning innocence she tries to appeal to Parker using their past history with each other, causing Parker to hesitate and decide couldn't fully trust Raymond, demanding that he put his gun sparking and argument between the two. Seeing her opening Jessica slowly backs towards the ship's controls as she grabs her gun and attempts to shoot Raymond again, only for Parker to take the bullet instead. Surprised at this, Jessica bewilderment quickly turns to annoyance as she comments "stupid men" at the two as she activates the ship's self-destruct sequence. Holding the two at gunpoint and fully revealing herself to be the mole, Jessica slowly beings to make her way to the exit commenting that she knew that O'Brian had a mole and that she would tell Lansdale that it was Raymond. She then tells Parker he doesn't have to worry about the dinner he owes her anymore as now they're even, before mockingly saying she's sorry to him before leaving the bridge with Raymond in pursuit not long after.[11]
Though Raymond said that Jessica escaped, actually the two had been working in collusion the entire time as triple agents employed by TRICELL. She met Raymond in a European cafe, where Raymond provided her with a sample of the t-Abyss virus. She asked Raymond the reason for him saving Parker, in which he replied to her by saying that he had his reasons.[12] The two went their separate ways, and their current locations are unknown.
Personality and Relationships[]
Jessica seems to have a "casual" attitude toward her assignments. She is not afraid to complain or make light-hearted jokes, but her outgoing nature can often cause friction and disruption within the BSAA. She often lets her personal feelings shine through and is not averse to admitting her true desires. Her partnership with Parker stems from their survival in Terragrigia and she tends to exchange humorous jokes with him, repeatedly claiming that he owes her a lobster dinner from the incident. It is suggested that she appreciates the finer things in life and is somewhat materialistic. Jessica gossips a lot when she is on assignment and does the same when working with Chris. Jessica's romantic interest in Chris seems to be one-sided, with him maintaining a professional relationship with her. She also does not seem to realize that Quint has a crush on her. Her partnership with Raymond is elusive, though the two agents played their roles so well that they managed to survive the FBC and recover the t-Abyss sample for Tricell. In "Jessica's Report", Jessica talks about her respect for her colleagues at the FBC and the BSAA in an interview with Excella Gionne.
Jessica is also a master of deception, managing to hide her true intentions throughout the Queen Zenobia Incident. Her deceptive nature led her to survive the incident and escape the BSAA to work for Tricell.
Skills and Abilities[]
As a former FBC and BSAA agent, Jessica is a skilled marksman, proficient in the use of many firearms. Her weapon of choice seemed to be a sniper rifle, able to defend Chris from Fenrir attacks from up high. She was able to shoot the disguised Raymond at point blank range. According to her Report, Jessica seemed to have adequate knowledge of the creatures she witnessed, documenting them efficiently. She was able to fool both the BSAA and Morgan, acting as a triple agent ultimately working for Tricell.
