Kathy was a nurse at the Raccoon General Hospital. She died during the Raccoon City Destruction Incident like almost all RGH personnel as the injured/infected began to transform and attack the staff. At some point, she then reanimated as a zombie, herself, and attacked the survivors.
Gameplay
Kathy can be unlocked as a playable character by completing The Hive on HARD difficulty and purchasing her character set for 5.000 points in File #1, and is already unlocked and can be purchased for only 500 points in File #2. Her character set includes Elena, another nurse. She is a Cindy-type character and starts with a Mixed Herb (Green+Blue+Red). On File #1, she is named Nurse1, while in File #2, she is given her proper name, Kathy.
A second version of Kathy also exists that's used for zombies. This version can only be obtained via Gameshark or a similar device and will not have proper stats, making her unable to cause damage and run very slowly. Gameshark codes or codes from a similar device may be used to give her proper stats.
Further Notes
- Kathy is a template for one of the female nurse zombie types in The Hive scenario from Resident Evil Outbreak.
- The playable zombie version of Kathy has a large amount of blood near her neck, indicating that she probably had a vital artery punctured by the zombie that bit her and bled out profusely. However, the actual zombie version of Kathy has a different hairstyle and no blood around the neck.
